Hans Giner and Catherine Moon Giner founded Chateau St. Martin in 2004 as a licensed US importer and a Washington State distributor of wines. Hans and Catherine have extensive international expertise having both held senior executive positions in multinational organizations in Asia, Europe and North America. They regularly commute between their two homes and offices in Saint-Emilion, France and Clyde Hill, Washington.
Hans brings a wealth of wine knowledge to the Pacific Northwest. In 1992 he was invited to join the prestigious Jurade de Saint-Emilion, founded in 1199, and has over the years built an extensive network of wine producers, negociants and courtiers. Building on his in-depth knowledge of Bordeaux wines and the ways of doing business in the wine trade, he is now in a position to offer the ever growing population of wine consumers outstanding wines at moderate prices.
Chateau St. Martin is the official representative of the Union de Producteurs de Saint-Emilion (www.udpse.com), a cooperative of Saint-Emilion winegrowers with some 300 individual producers as members. UDPSE offers an extensive range of Saint-Emilion wines including 56 Grand Cru wines. |
