Chateau Patache D'Aux

Region:France
Appellation:Bordeaux - Medoc-Haut Medoc
Varietal:Red Blend
Vintage:2006
It took us a while to find a suitable Left Bank wine that would meet our criteria for quality AND affordability. But here it is—a charming, medium-bodied Bordeaux blend from the Médoc. The color is opaque purple and on the nose you will experience a sense of discreet woody aromas. The palate is well-balanced with high quality tannins. Strong and concentrated, the Patache d’Aux can age remarkably well, and its aromatic freshness and strong structure are still evident up to 10 or 15 years later. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. “Dark, smokey hints of coffee. Ripe, thick, chewy fruit, dry finish. Hints of chocolate. Nicely balanced and should soften well.” *** (Decanter) Awarded Best Wine of the Year 2006—Decanter Magazine (Feb 2007) 89 Points—Wine Spectator Judged one of the Top 100 Affordable Bordeaux Wines! 87 pts Wine Enthusiast 3 stars Decanter

Appellation:Bordeaux - Medoc-Haut Medoc
Varietal:Red Blend
Vintage:2001
Very striking, deep red color. This wine’s main feature is its balance. Surprisingly youthful aromas, reminiscent of raspberry and blackcurrant. Full of finesse, with moderate oak on the palate, finishing with silky tannins, excellent texture, and remarkable length. This wine will reach its peak in five or six years, but will keep for another 12 years. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
Chateau Caronne Ste. Gemme

Appellation:Bordeaux - Medoc-Haut Medoc
Varietal:Red Blend
Vintage:2006
It is a very proud moment for us to be able to introduce this great Médoc to our local market. The vineyard was first reported in 1648 when a local landlord rented it to a farmer in exchange for the wines produced. Described by Tom Stevenson as a “superb island of vines on a gravel plateau south of St. Julien estates,” Caronne Ste. Gemme takes pride in its deep gravel mounds of the gunzien period, which lie on a subsoil of iron-rich sandstone to the east and clay to the west. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot.
Chateau Labat

Region:France
Appellation:Bordeaux - Medoc-Haut Medoc
Varietal:Red Blend
Vintage:2004
Situated in the St. Laurent Médoc area, Château Labat is bordering Ch. Caronne Ste. Gemme and is owned by the same family. The average age of the vines is 30 years. The 2004 vintage with its high percentage of Merlot (50%), makes this wine more sultry/sensual than most young Haut-Médocs. Approachable now with coffee and chocolate characters, fine tannins and an extensive finish, it is a wine to drink now. 88 pts Wine Enthusiast
Chateau Liversan

Region:France
Appellation:Bordeaux - Medoc-Haut Medoc
Varietal:Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage:2004
“One of the best carried out Cru Bourgeois in Medoc “(Robert Parker). The property is located near Pauillac, less than three kilometers from Château Lafite and Mouton Rothschild. The color is brilliant ruby. On the nose you will experience a complexity of berries, flowers, cedar and spices. It is well balanced on the palate, offering blackberry fruit, berry jelly flavors and delicate mineral notes, with cocoa-like tannins. The Liversan 2004 was awarded a Gold Medal in Paris 2006!
