This Lussac Saint-Émilion wine, a top seller in France, possesses all the qualities of a great wine from the Right Bank. Vieux Château Chambeau is an old acquaintance now available in the 2003 vintage. Very consistent in quality and balance, it is a good representation of what can be accomplished in Lussac Saint-Émilion. On the nose you will experience a lot of ripe fruit, whereas it is fleshy and full-bodied on the palate. It reveals a perfect symbiosis between power and elegance with blackcurrant, vanilla and spices. On the palate it is round and ripe and filled with cherries. The finish is long and delicious – full of licorice and vanilla, with elegant notes of soft fruits.
