This is one of our favorites. Well made, well balanced and produced under the supervision of the very best winemakers of Merlot, we are now adding the 2005 vintage to our portfolio, after great success with the 2002 and 2003. The 2005 vintage is absolutely elegant, with fruity and spicy notes of cassis, blackberry, pepper, and vanilla. Subtle aromas of violet and lilacs on the second nose. In the mouth it is racy and fresh, with profound depth and finesse.

This 100% Merlot shows a nice nose of ripe crushed berries with some floral notes. On the palate, a sensuous wine with pretty red berry fruit, a little earth and very fine and ripe tannins. It is also perfumed, owing to the Cabernet Franc in the blend. The wine is very supple, round and smooth. It is on the lighter side for a Bordeaux, but it is pretty, delicate and elegant. This is the type of solid wine that and before you know it the bottle has gone.
