From slopes of crimson sandstone/schist along the Loire River, this 100% Chenin Blanc is harvested at the peak of ripeness, and then fermented in new oak barrels to ensure a harmonious balance. The wine ferments slowly in its own natural yeast. A beautiful yellow color with green hues, the wine is plump and full, releasing notes of quince and lime flowers. A great accompaniment to shellfish, especially scallops.

1 ha was planted in 2000 on a sandstone hillside dominating the Loire River. Fermentation and one year’s maturation in barrels. Only 6000 bottles produced and we were able to snag five cases! The wine offers a good structure, is full bodied and displays nice minerality. Although it is still very young you can already identify the mineral character of Savennières. Ideal with poultry and veal. 100% Chenin Blanc.
