Chateau Pedesclaux is a 5th growth Grand Cru Classe that lies on a chalky plateau overlooking the town of Pauillac and is situated among such illustrious names as Mouton Rothschild, Laftie Rothschild, and Pontet Canet.
The 2004 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc. It is a deep purple color with blackcurrant fruit flavors, roasted coffee, and hints of cedar spice on the nose. A rich and concentrated wine, it is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to do so for the next 5 years. A classic yet affordable Cru Classe.
