| Maison Mayol Merlot |
| Region: | France |
| Appellation: | Vin de Pays D'oc |
| Varietal: | Merlot |
| Vintage: | 2008 |
This Vin de Pays D'oc comes from a selection of chalky-clay soil vineyards along the Mediterranean sea where the Merlot can give its best expression. After vinification in stainless steel tanks, it is aged in tank for 8 months on the fine lees, with micro bubbling. It has a dark ruby robe with bright red highlights. On the nose are notes of spicy eucalyptus and red fruit. The palate features sweet, layered red fruits and mellow tannins. Serve with grilled red meats and cheeses.
