This Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wine, aged in new oak, represents one of the flagship wines of the Union de Producteurs de Saint-Émilion (UDPSE). With 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is highly representative of the best of what Saint-Émilion offers, and is an excellent presentation of the outstanding 2000 vintage. Dark ruby color, on the nose rich with perfumes of cedar and herbs, the Galius 2000 is a beautiful wine to drink now, and will mature to further excellence over the next ten years.
Encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reception of the 2000 vintage we have added the 2001 to our portfolio. The wine clearly illustrates and underscores Robert Parker’s comment that “the finest vintage for shrewd consumers to purchase in 2005 is 2001.”
Drinks beautifully NOW!
